The painting on the right is called “Robbery of the Coach” by Goya depicting Highwaymen. The term “Stand and Deliver” originated in their demands of their victims to Stand and Deliver their money or purses etc.

The gentleman in the bottom left picture is Jamie Escalante – a Bolivian-born American teacher known for his work at a LA school. He died recently. Escalante was the subject of the 1988 film Stand and Deliver, in which he is portrayed by Edward James Olmos, who received an Oscar nomination for his portrayal.
