On March 16th, the Quiz Foundation of India (QFI) brought a unique celebration of International Women’s Day to the Folly at Amethyst, Chennai: The Purple Riband Challenge Quiz. Flipping the usual script, each team of two had to include at least one woman. In addition, we had an all-women quiz setting team consisting of Saranya Jayakumar, Jayashree Mohanka and Nirupama V conducting the quiz. Over 50 enthusiastic teams took part in what was a lively and competitive atmosphere, a testament to the city’s insatiable appetite for quizzing.

After a preliminary round, we had our top 8 teams take centre stage in a fantastic finale.

Over 24 questions and some engaging written rounds later, here are the winners!
