  1. Dear Uncle:

These look like pictures that were probably exhibited at some point, so I’ll guess Modest Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition.”

    Kind regards
    Thomas Masun

  2. When I was in Coimbatore…. my friend Thomas Masun told me to stop watching Jenna Jameson movies and instead to broaden my mind .”Listen to a work called Pictures at an exhibition by the Russian composer Mussorgsky” he said. They are based on a series of paintings by Viktor Hartmann .It was originally composed for the piano and has been orchestrated by various people the most famous version being by Ravel of Bolero fame.

  3. Thomas told me that he had once gone to chennai to watch the odyssey quiz as uncle Ramana had told him about it during the Young World quiz at Kochi. This question was asked at that quiz and Thomas, who couldnt take the prelims as his train had arrived late, answered this from the audience -Hartman’s paintings that were the basis for Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
Thomas got a copy of Patrick O’ Brians book master & Commander which helped answer question 150!

  4. In Mussorgsky ‘s Pictures from an Exhibition – A Remembrance of Viktor Hartmann,a ten piece piano suite.
